Surf & Sand Laguna Beach

We absolutely loved our stay at Surf & Sand. The oceanfront setting is incredible, and every detail of the hotel feels elevated and welcoming. The rooms are perfect — a super comfortable bed, great linens, a wonderful shower, and the full opening pocket door that lets the ocean breeze and views pour in. We especially loved enjoying the in-room Nespresso from our porch each morning while watching the surfers — the perfect way to start the day. Breakfast at Splashes was delicious with unbeatable views. The pool and gym were fantastic, and the concierge was exceptional — recommending great restaurants and even securing reservations when there was no availability. A wonderful stay from start to finish. We can’t wait to return!

We have stayed here for many years and we came back again after the renovations, and it is truly exquisite what they have done with the property. From the moment upon check into the in room, dining everything about this place is incredible. What adds to the experience is the incredible hospitality presented by the employees that we have interacted with during our stays.

Christina at the front desk was incredible. She handled everything seamlessly and went above and beyond — the upgrade was such a thoughtful touch and truly appreciated. The level of service and overall quality here were outstanding. Out of curiosity, I visited a few other five-star properties in the area, and this one stood out by far. It’s modern, beautifully updated, and exceptionally well maintained, while others felt dated in comparison. I would recommend this place without hesitation — 100%.

Our stay at Surf and Sand was wonderful! We had a great time! The hotel and rooms are beautiful. The view of the ocean from your balcony is AMAZING!! Our daughter had a gymnastics meet in Costa Mesa. They sent a celebratory card and macaroons after the meet to our room. Special shout out Destiny our host. We had a great time! Can’t wait to come back. Thanks!

We stayed here for my husband’s 30th over a long weekend and it was so great! Being right on the water and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was the best. We grabbed coffee and pastries from the little café one morning (the lavender honey iced latte was so good!) and had dinner at Splashes one night — the views are unreal and the food was delicious. Our server Jacob gave us great recommendations and we loved everything. Such a fun, memorable trip!

Aaron was an amazing server at Splashes! Very attentive with lots of input on the flavors of the food. We went with his recommendations and were not disappointed. Don’t get me started with the view. We got sat at sunset and the open windows with the sound of the ocean was a unique and beautiful touch. Definitely recommend!

Surf & Sand resort is definitely our new favorite getaway beach resort. Majority of the rooms are literally oceanfront. You can hear the waves soothing sound the entire time. The view Of the ocean and all the sea creatures are spectacular. We have found that the service is exemplary as well. Our room is gorgeous. They have have recently finished a major remodel, so everything is super stylish and high-tech. We had dinner and lunch at their restaurant. Our dinner waiter was Alfredo and our lunch waitress was Deanna. The service was exemplary, and the food was incredible. Both in taste and presentation. Although the prices are on the higher end, the Incredible view of the room , the very beautiful room itself, and the incredibly service oriented staff make the price look like a bargain.
